Sequence of events , The boss said the hoover is broke (not that it is a hoover and not 'I have broken the hoover')
the end of the hose had been pulled off. I pushed it all back together but would pull off again when I tried. Temporary fix whilst a replacement comes I'll superglue the end onto the hose.

Tube of glue is sealed at the end couldn't have cleaned it when I put it away last time, no prob so I cut the end off, was a bit far down so I get loads coming out the bottle now, any way hose fixed and doesn't pull off the boss is happy for a bit until she picks up the scissors. Yup glued the blades together hadn't I fortunately partly open so quick trip to the garage and all freed off.
How many other tales of superglue are there I wonder?

Did anybody see the program on TV about people frightened about going to the dentist :p
A lady on the program was so frightened .........:(
Her front tooth had come out and she used to stick it back in with super glue :)
I wouldn't try this at home :)

I did this many years ago.I made a temporary repair using superglue but when I told my dentist he wasn't impressed. He said "Superglue has cyanide in it, you'll poison yourself." Never done it again :stop:

This stuff is used daily in the medical profession, and first found medical use during the Vietnam war to stop bleeding wounds, giving soldiers the chance to make it to the field hospital. There is not much chance of toxicity as it hardens on contact with liquid (air, water, blood etc), and the chemical reaction is complete.

Superglued skin can be sorted using acetone (nail varnish remover). Gently bathe the affected area using a cotton bud or similar and very gently separate the stuck area.

Its commonly used to stick head wounds in the hair line. A quick and painless way of patching up broken children
