Hello All,

Sorry if I'm slightly repeating myself, but my S54 is now available to view and is up for sale at Uber GT in Reading.

The car was in great shape before, but its now had new rear top mounts, front bumper and bonnet respray (to remove any stone chips), a service 2, along with a full detail. Even before this work I would of said it was is arguably the best and the rarest Z3M, but this work has now taken it up to another level!

Its now officially available to view and is up for sale at Uber GT. Details are at:

Happy shopping,

R

Great idea, then hire it out to members as a way of raising funds for .org !!
;)

At least then you know it wouldn't be whisked away into some private collection never to be seen again...:(

I could really be tempted by this but I would end up driving it too much and spoiling it's appeal. :)

That's the dilemma Mike. That's also why it's most likely to end up in someone's collection.

Has BMW been told about this, it would sit nicely next to this at Farnborough:

Please forgive my ignorance but why does this M carry such a high price when there are a large number around that have similar if not lower miles for less then £20k, this is not a dig at all, is it that its one of the last

It has the S54 engine from e46 M3
Very limited numbers were made.
ALso has DSC.

The rest are s50 engined from the e36 M3 ‘common as muck’ by comparison and no DSC or even ASC(!!) for hairy chested types only ;)

Apart from being a great example of the model it uniqueness as being the last of the production line same and the same as the first will be of value to a certain buyer.

One thing puzzled me though is the colour of the wheels. In the photo they look the S50 silver instead of shadow chrome but in my opinion the S50 shade wheels look better to my eye so would not detract from the asking price over nit picking.

Good question,

In short, it's down to rarity.

BMW only made 73 right hand drive S54 roadsters globally, of those a few were development cars, a few more were press cars and a couple went to APAC with a KMH specification. So the number that were released to the UK is in the mid to high 60's. And this is the last one made.

You typically see S54 roadsters around the £30k area. At the moment there are two others for sale (I think), both with higher mileage. So given the condition of this one and that it's the last off the production line, it carries a slightly higher price.

Of course, the same old caveat applies, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

R
