Thank goodness for BMW warranty

Got back to the 5 series the other day started up reversed out of the space and thought it's quiet in here.
No hadn't muted the cd tried a radio station nothing. After checking all no sound out of anything, sat nav, parking radio, telephone, warning gongs. Checked the fuses when I got home and there are 6 for the amplifier and the fuse number go up to 200.

Been into the dealers today and as I thought the amplifier is dead order a new one from Germany 2-3 days to arrive and if I had to pay myself would be well into 4 figures!!!!! So the warranty has easily paid for itself

The Carver amp on my first Z4 was around £700. Could think of no reason why when you looked at the small box, kind of ridiculous the way they price these items. Just as well you have warranty!

X1 was a few month old when all started to go quite , radios,GPS,iPhone etc. The GPS screen was not working correctly ,but after parking overnight all would be well. It would often clear after stopping for a few minutes. The screen and some other bits were changed , but then screen started going bright red then blank.
Eventually after dealer had again involved BMW I understand most of the bits involving radio and GPS were changed. This process took best part of 6 month.
Now all seems well,but glad that lot was BMW not my bill.

Next installment started last night when the dash came up with 'Level control Failure - cornering ability restricted'. Sure enough passenger side rear was low the wheel was tucked up in the arch looked quite good unless going around corner or over bumps then it was not happy.

Off to dealers this morning at 8 and got a call at 1.30 to say the car was repaired new air suspension unit fitted.all under warranty.
Sounds to be commonish issue just on the passenger side and the speed of repair they must have had the units in stock. Quite impressed with the service received as I hadn't booked the car in.

Yes I was really pleased as I had read about some that took weeks to get the parts and I didn't expect to get it back 'till the weekend.
I did have a bit of a winge to the service lady and one of the sales guys I know.
