Onboard footage has emerged of a 200mph Lambo Huracan horror crash. Watch and wince..

Video: This is what happens when you drive like a moron on public roads. Don’t do it.....

Driving at 200mph on a public road isn't a good idea. Really, it just isn't. Even if you're driving a Lamborghini Huracan. Track, runway, drag strip - yep, do your worst. But not on real roads, with real traffic and real squishy humans in the vicinity. It's going to end badly.

For proof, pray watch this rather chilling on-board footage of the build-up to, and onset of, a truly massive off on a Hungarian highway.

The crash actually occurred back in September of last year, but now Hungarian police have released footage of the incident, taken by the passenger in the Czech Republic-registered Huracan.

It conveniently shows the driver of the lumino-green Huracan accelerating up past indicated speeds of 330kph (205mph) while overtaking on Hungary's not-exactly-deserted M7 highway. And then... well, you'll have to watch the video for yourself, but suffice to note it ends with a couple of photos of the aftermath, and they ain't pretty.

Though, thankfully, there were no fatalities, we're told the mobile-wielding passenger suffered serious injuries in the crash, and that the 36-year-old driver faces charges of reckless driving and endangerment. The Lambo, needless to say, was a write-off.

Take it easy out there, kids.

Reminds me of a trip in the 80's in a new Saab900 going from Holland into Germany to watch a World Cup Hockey Game. Suddenly the driver stomped the gas up to 280kmph and something, I couldn't even tell the colour, went passed us like a rocket. Scared the crap out of me for a second or two!! JIM

I did notice one interesting point in the clip. This car was fitted with a "Doris" gearbox, which is probably why it wasn't going very fast.

What u wouldn't film it or wouldn't do 200 mph on a public road ........
People don't relize the impact it have on the other family member when things happen ......
People don't mean them to happen but they do .....
If people want to go extra fast they should go on a race track .......

it depends on where it was..ie if there was any chance anyone else could get caught up in what i was doing then no...however...people still get caught up in accidents on the track,
im not trying to justify him doing that on the road....its just stupid!...but we have all pushed the limits of what other people call unreasonable driving....and i suspect most of us have got it wrong from time to time

You can do this on some, not all, autobahn in Germany.
Fastest I have even driven there was 210 kph.

I gaurantee all of us have come within a whisker of a big accident and never even realised it. That sort of speed on a public road just increases the risk of a huge accident.

We were having lunch one afternoon in Germany and got to talking to a couple of motorcycle cops who were in having a beer break. We finished up and we all left together and they headed off in another direction. I had a new Audi rental and was doing about 230kmph when their two BMW bikes pulled up beside me, gave us a wave and took off leaving me in their dust. I love Autobahns.. But when there's an accident it's never just a fender bender and people usually die. My wife said she would only drive the speed limit which was 140 at the time. Within 20 min I glanced at the speedo and she was over 180. They just drive that fast she was just keeping up with everyone else. JIM

Yep, if they are stupid.
A mate of mine was driving back through Germany after a skiing trip in Austria and the weather was bad, heavy snow all the way, and every one was taking it easy.
Then a Porsche and a Corvette came flying past and soon after my mate and his crew were stuck in a traffic jam. As they slowly drove past the crash site, the bodies were already bagged.

I was subconsciously holding my breath when the speedo reached 280kph watching this vid, I hadn't breathed out untill the last still pic, brought back bad memory of 1970 hitting a 2ft tree stump in my cooper s after leaving road up steep bank rolling end/end,side/side landing on its wheels, woke up in Weymouth Hospital, the first car along was a Morris traveller full of off duty nurses, how lucky was I, now have the greatest respect for nurses and sharp bends on uk roads. Nightmares lasted 18 mths. Payments for the S (write off) continued for a further 2yrs for taking third party. How the young learn the hard way!!!!!! If only, the council would have removed the stump,if only, I had my present day wisdom, if only.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
