Yeah, but it was a Nissan 350 Z 3.5 V6.

I wonder what one of ours would go like with a 3.5 V6 under the bonnet.

One thing is for sure it would sound very nice! :)

I like the look of a 350.
Although my all time favourite of the Nissan (sorry Datsun) Z's was the original 240Z with the straight six motor.

Tell you what Si, I did one up just after we got wed in 80, I sprayed it bright red and did a dark purple stripe down the body moulding on the sides. It looked the dogs, after all the work I didn't want to sell it. I knew how Ed China felt before he was born mate:thumbsup:

Not uncommon to have a mechanically sound car which dissolved in the rain back in the 70's David! Italian cars were the best ...... or worst ......... which ever way you look at it;)=))

If we going to talk about Datsun Nissans then don't forget this:
Could buy a new one in SA until the late 80's early nineties I think.
1400cc and the most RWD fun you can have under the speed limit!
Just don't crash, they not very passenger friendly!

Well, in all fairness the Japanese cars did to our car industry what their motor bikes did to our bike industry, they built reliable machines where the British bikes and cars were pretty much continually needing maintenance. OK the bodywork left something to be desired but their engineering was far superior to ours without question.
