As this thread title states, my Z3’s bonnet is stuck. The release handle in the driver’s footwell is off as we tried last Saturday to get the bonnet mechanisms to release. No joy though and I’m desperate to get it open.
Has anyone any experience of this problem and if so, how did you get the bonnet to open? Is anyone able to help me resolve this please? I can travel

Thanks for the signpost. We got the passenger side released. It’s the driver’s side that won’t budge.

I’ve had this problem. My solution was to jack up the front of the car and remove the plastic cover under the radiator. Using a torch you can see the latch just to the side of the radiator when lying underneath. I got someone to push down on the bonnet while I used a long metal ruler to flick the latch. It’s a bit fiddly but you should get it after a few goes. It was some time ago so sorry I can’t be more specific. Don’t listen to people who tell you to smash the headlight to get access….don’t think the Germans would design it that way.
