Had the cover on since before Christmas and thought i'd lift the front and back up to see if that all was well, only to find beads of water on the bonnet, boot and back screen.

Having called the manufacturer i'm told that condensation is quite acceptable but that it will evaporate during the course of the day.

The car has not been used, is not in the sun and it's freezing cold so i'm not convinced.

Not quite what I expected to be honest.... :ymsick:

Thanks Warrior,
Interesting stuff....I'm teetering on the edge of either buying a 'Stormforce' or just a top half cover :-? , just to protect the roof as I was afraid that the very thing you speak of happens, as my Z sits in the shade so frost and moisture takes a long time to 'dry out'....so if condensation happens......the car would be suffering the same consequences.

Obviously the cover is said to be 'breathable' as is a lot of outdoor clothing but I know when out walking and, shall we say for the sake of decency, persperation happens #:-s it takes a long time to 'wick through' the material and disperse if there's no breeze or sun. At least with the car open to the elements it has a chance to dry out.

I'd be interested if you find the condensation disperses quickly, hopefully it will.
Regards
Rod

I have only had my stormforce cover on for 5 or 6 days max and did not have any damp even after heavy rain!

hi warrior, ive had a cover for about 5 years, seems to be ok. yes sometimes condensation does form underneith but does clear. i do use a condensation trap inside the car which i bought from a caravan shop, you can plug in & recharge it , cost about £ 20 for 2 [ otherones in my caravan ]

I haven't checked for a week but last time I did there were just a couple of beads on the bonnet. What I could see and touch of the roof was dry.

When I get a minute i'll put a hose on the seams and see what happens.

We havent really had cold weather warrior so your car is probably sweating as the covers are waterproof which sometimes means, depending on the quality ,it doesnt breathe. so you will get condensation. ;)

Checked her today and despite the ground being wet she was dry as a bone.

When I started this thread there had been a heavy frost for two days so condensation is almost certainly the answer.)

I bought a delux car cover for the audi from argos for £40 2 years ago and the car is bone dry in any weather, but, the zed has pinched it :D and fits a treat. It is breathable and has a fine soft lining, been very pleased and would definately reccomend it. They do a cheaper cover, but that is cheap and nasty
