Event Spring Classic Car Show - Duxford - May 6th 2018

After texting Liam about his Duxford enquiry, we agreed with him that we would pick up the thread for him, so here it is...

Duxford Spring Classic Car Show is being held on May 6th this year, until we get to speak to Duxford we are not sure what the present requirements are for booking, as in the last few years, especially with the mêlée at the entrance, I do wonder if they make it up each year as they go along! When we find out the ticket price for entry and what we need to do, we will update this post.

Haven't asked them yet, but hoping to meet up at the John Barleycorn as usual, best to leave at least half an hour to get across the roundabout to get in though, if the last time is anything to go by!!! MEETING UP FROM 8.30/9AM FOR COFFEE, MOVING OFF AT 10AM.(Last entry at 2pm) POSTCODE CB22 4PP.

Liam is hoping to park in the main Car Park, but we are looking forward to them joining us all, so that we can spend the day with him, Caroline and Matty.

Have found out that the entry fee for the Spring Classic Car Show is £13 a person, but we will need to fill in a form with the individual Reg. numbers to get a code for your car in our Zed group, so maybe the entrance queue won't be quite so muddled this year!

We have seen that they are restricting entry, so the amount of cars will probably be less than previous years, so there is a need for urgency if you want to join us! so please let us know if you want to come to this meeting, as it will be difficult to change our numbers once we submitted our application!

That's great news, Bill, everyone is always in suspenders when MOT time arrives, especially when the Zed is an old faithful like yours!

Only a month to go to the Duxford show and I am waiting for them to let me know that they have created a function on their website for exhibitors to make an entry payment, which means that you will be able to print off a display ticket to put in your windscreen, so that you can be waved through as you enter the airfield. According to information we have received, you will be unable to pay on the day, so making the payment online is essential.

I filled in the form quite a while ago to ask for enough places for 15 people, which means that there ARE PLACES IF ANYONE STILL WANTS TO COME!

Will keep you updated when they come back to me!
