A bit of polish and that'll come out like new!

Do wonder what happened to the driver as the seat had been pushed in quite badly!

Hopefully nothing and the driver walked away.

When I was 24, I was building a beach buggy, and at a breakers in Crawley removing the pedal assembly from a VW Beetle...only to find that the passenger side floor was covered in blood. I can still remember how crap I felt....but it didn't stop me getting the bits I needed though.

Been there, done that. Not uncommon when we were youths Malc, I've seen bits of skin still hanging about on wrecks. But hell, there's money in them.:(

That's up there with the scariest looking Z3 wrecks I've seen. And I make a habit of studying salvage.

It appears to have taken a direct hit on the driver side, eg from pulling out at a T-junction into the path of an oncoming car. And the centre of impact looks like it was the driver although possibly more on their legs than torso.

Z3s and indeed most cars are extremely robust in front/rear collisions. They are relatively weak in comparison if involved in a side collision and the driver is much more vulnerable. At the very least that would have been a very unpleasant experience for the driver.

Thankfully these days cars like that would be Cat B or possibly Cat A meaning they'd never normally reach the public. I certainly wouldn't touch a car I thought someone had been badly hurt in.
