Afternoon ladies and gents.
So a nice run out to Southport, and I get the ABS light coming on, with a yellow triangle also. The wife really wanted to carry on, we still had good brakes. So we did, lovely day. The question being, I noticed driver front pads were low when I took wheels off, last weekend. So guess it’s that. Then it went off?. No backing plate to disc noises, can it be anything else?

ABS light on is nothing to do with pad wear. It will be an ABS wheel sensor (there are 4) or the ABS pump dry joints which need re-soldering. A code reader should point you in the right direction. Even if the light has now gone out it should've stored a fault code.

Tony.
