Had one of the early ones in my Z3. Nice item, quite expensive. I like the ones @Jjim, @Mazza and @Sean d have made from 3 series ones.

here is mine
the E46 armrest......

this one cost about £15

Chop off the bottom section:

a few screws in the side and from underneath, that can't be seen afterwards

]

somewhere to stick the garage door and gate remotes:

and an opening compartment too

I thought the other armrest with its scrolls, was a bit 'American Chopper'

I did the E46 armrest in my Z3. It’s a great fit and you can cut it to the right height so your arm rests on it just where you want it.

Mine was black but I dyed in beige when I did the rest of my interior.

@Mazza also did the same and installed an E46 armrest. I dyed his from black to BMW Z3 Tanin Red to match his interior.

Hello Jim,

looking at your interior trim, can you remove the n/s dash air bag section without having to remove the full dash?
I love the 2 tone trim, I’m wishing I could do the same but with my car being Dakar with black interior, I’m limited to yellow or black, great job !!

You can remove the airbag panel cover but not the pod without removing the dash.
To remove the airbag cover, you need to remove the glove box and then unscrew the bracket with the material strap on the underside. Then you can push the cover off from underneath.

Both the passenger and drivers pods are attached to the dash by screws and some of these are underneath the vent ducting. So the dash needs to be removed to access these screws.

Had 2 different types off him for 2 different cars. Both excellent and easy to fit. Top kit.
