Hi all

More issues! Ive just swapped thje halos from my 2L to my 3L. I wired them so that the halo rings come on with the running lights. On the 2L all four rings worked perfectly. However, on the 3L only the outer rings light up when on running lights! It doesnt make sense to me as they all connect to the live and ground of the side running lights as per picture. Any advice please?

bad connection on the Scotchloks?
they are not very good sometimes.
Was thinking that. Even pulling and wiggling didn't work. Maybe solder and shrink tomorrow. Just didn't know if the 3L is wired differently!

I would suspect the scotchlocks as well. They are not designed to connect two onto one like you have. Solder and shrink would definitely be better. Or the vibration of swapping them over has broken the inner rings.:(

Only one connection (and return) for the halo’s each side but only the outer rings working?
That doesn’t make sense. If it was a bad connection then neither ring would work.
Sounds like a dodgy connection inside the light.

Gonna take it all out again and start again methinks.
Are they LEDs or bulbs?
Test the lights if you can before ripping the wiring out.

I think I'd see if they work on the bench before refitting them and if ok get the soldering iron out;)

If they are led they are polarity sensitive.

Tony.
