So I have a few jobs to do which involves cleaning up vairious car parts etc. Rather than sending the parts away I'm thinking of getting a diy soda blasting kit, I can get a compressor and soda blasting attachment for approx £140 all in, does anyone have any experience with this type of kit?

No, sorry, only ever used glass bead peening.
Iis an effective way of increasing the fatigue properties of metal parts and resistance to stress .

Soda blasting is not suppose to be as harsh as some of the other substances that can be used.
Have watched it used on tv and they explain its a little more time consuming but less damaging .

Neither is glass bead, gets used on the male connection on new chrome oil & gas tubing that mates up with a copper coated female connection.
