Sounds good a nice exhaust on these cars makes them sound great, had mine done before christmas and pleased with it too.

Best thing you can do with a Z- liberate some sound!

So where is a pic of the snake in the Z?
(In hoping they ran the Cobra under the Z and not in it..might get a bit hot like that!)

Nothing better than a decent sounding exhaust in a Zed! Can't wait to see the pics and listen to a recording *cough* *cough*

Yes its something that I will do to my Z in due course as at the moment it sounds just like a standard car, whereas my '64 TR4 has a sports exhaust and is a head turner for both sound and looks.

Taking my car in tomorrow to get my exhaust done, I feel a expensive day coming on  I want a nice sporty exhaust but the mrs wants it loud as possible ;)

I have a story regarding "loudness" of the exhaust: a mate (much younger than I) told me once he wants to replace the exhaust on its Honda 2000, with an invidia model. After a while he told me he is going to sea side on the weekend (about 400 miles, both ways). So I said "nice , you will enjoy the new exhaust!" and he replied "oh no, I take the company car because my car it's too loud! I can drive it more than 20 miles." !!??
So be "careful with that Axe, Eugene "!

Well I'm keeping the snake theme going. Following a chat regarding the pro's and cons of k&n / pipercross filters, cold air induction and heat shielding... I have just fitted a Pipercross Viper CAI kit to my zed. It took some doing but it covers all the pros. I had to remove the blank plastic vent from the front spoiler and replace it with a piece of Ripspeed mesh to allow a good flow of air into the lower part of the nose. The induction pipe was then fed through the gap between the radiator and the floor, up into the sealed air filter. See pics. The performance has definitely improved and it sounds great. I will be dyno testing shortly, but with a cobra and a Viper now on the zed I wonder about what type of snake I will add next...a python seat harness?

Hi wookee. I ordered the filter through Demon Tweeks but had to chat through a few points with pipercross directly as the filter needs a little modification to fit my zed.
