So have neglected this job for a few months. Have given it only one treatment of Deox but then nothing for 3 months. So have wire brushed and given another coat. Will continue this process over next few weeks and see how they look. Then maybe Hydrate 80, epoxy paint then top coat Hoping to pick up my sills from @spurs fan in a coupe this month and then all systems go...

Hope you will be putting a load of Waxoyl Clear inside those nice restored sills before the outers get fitted back on.

Applied waxoyl with a brush to the sills and rear of outer sills today. Can see how it blocks spray guns, thickened as I went along. Will try something to get it in the insides but failing that @colb is going to bring his sprayer when he comes to mine next week

Slight thin down with white spirit works but always heat the can up in a bucket of hot water to thin it down to begin with. White spirit will evaporate off leaving the waxoyl coating on the metal

You have to keep the Wayoil warm all the time.

In an ideal world you'd have an attachment for it like this

See that longer thin white tube. You can stick down cavities. The nozzle squirts it out sideways in all directions.

As I have to move the Z3 to middle of garage to work on on Thursday with @colb I thought I would start her up and move her back and forth. Started first time and sweet as a nut. Brakes all fine also. Not bad for being in hibernation for a year.

@colb visited this week and used his compressor and schutz gun to get the waxoyl into the cavities.

Then we got the sills on. Car looking so much better with them on!
