Hi all, im relatively new to this and have already posted a couple of seat related questions. I have now managed to get hold of some new seats to replace my original ones. Obviously I need to remove the old ones and transfer the bases across to the new ones.
Are there any links on here ? Any advice

Secondly my old seats are the heated variant, whilst the new ones are not. Will this cause a problem ?

Hi Rosey

The seat bases are the same for all Z3's. The difference is with the electrical connections. Older versions have 3 or 4 plugs per seat, whereas the later versions have one large multi plug.

There is an expensive upgrade lead that will connect later versions into the older multi plugs, but not the other way around.

If you want to change the bases, here is a thread that will help: https://zroadster.org/threads/remove-z3-seat-base.24733/

Your new seats not having the seat heating elements will not be a problem. You'll just lose the seat heating function.

Thanks for your update . Would a novice like me be able to do it?
It can be done, the loom that the previous poster mentioned only works one way I.e new connectors on seat old ones in car or old connectors on seat and new in car and I can’t remember which.
