Where is the best place to buy these?

I've just noticed my drivers one is broken

have looked on the oem parts list.

its on there but there isn't a part number?

is it a main dealer part only?

I realise that you have an ///M, but I think that the same part is used across the range. I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will confirm, though.

You have just reminded me I have two new ones ready to be fitted to my seats, supposed to do it in the summer last year but forgot #-o

Just tape them up with silver duct tape it will look awesome and colour coded :-B

Well drivers side will almost go back may be about 4/5" in short

but the passenger side about 1/1 to 1/2 ft

how hard is it to strip down and WD40 it ?

sorry if I am teaching grandama to suck eggs, and you all know about it! I was exploring the site the other day and was investigating the wiki and found a wiki entry on fitting/fixing the very item "seat belt guides" I think it was written by Snoops. and I thought is was so clear and took away all the fear of undertaking the unknown that I had to PM Snoops! there are pictures and even a "thing" identified for undoing the stitching. I thought is was a great entry making the fix so much less daunting.

My Dad came up with a classic for sorting this out.
As the retainers were broken and could turn round, he drilled into each of the parts which are normally not joined together (in the gap), with a tiny drillbit, and inserted a metal pin into the holes.
This stays in place, holding the retainer together as per the above method, but using a small pin instead of the wrap. Genius!

The principle for adjusting the tension on the seat belt reel is the same as for a roller blind.The difficult part is accessing the reel.Once you have the reel out,the adjustment will be obvious.

However, if you are not adept mechanically,it's not wise to mess with inertia reel mechanisms. [-x
