Seat backs

Morning. Newbie here. Upon inspection this weekend I have found significant cracks in both plastic seat backs on my sports seats (Roadster 2.8 reg 2000) I have no idea how it has happened. My Z3 specialist garage do not have spares and bmw don’t make them any more. Anyone any idea how where I can get replacements? Jane

Probably down to the plastic degrading due to age like most plastics on our cars, best bet would be to post a wanted add on the forum and one of our resident breakers on here may well have a decent pair, if they dont have the right colour then consider spraying them either in original colour or maybe get away with going black. Add a picture to your posts so we can see how bad they are.

Try @spurs fan in a coupe or @Synclare for spares, they may have some rotten seats they can take the backs off.

Thank you. Saw those. Mine are black - red and black seats

Beige ones can be cleaned up with thinners and a scrubbing brush and then sprayed with aerosol satin black. 5 or 6 light coats will do it. Its won't flake off.
