Seat adjustment issue

Hi guys and girls.
Apologies for 5 years of inactivity but I'm a bit useless at the whole internet thing.
I've been fortunate to have my Z3 for 5 years and still enjoy driving it as often as I can. Recently I had the rear window replaced during which the seats were removed. Super job but now have an issue with the drivers seat horizontal adjustment. The electric switch works fine but the seat will not move forward beyond the end of the runners attached to the floor. The passenger one works perfectly fine. The seat does move but doesn't go far enough forward for the vertically challenged. ( I had just put my daughter on the insurance and she can't reach the pedals lol. I've checked and there are no obstructions. I'm sure all could be revealed if I could take the seat out, alas it won't move far enough forward to access the rear nuts.. I would be grateful for any thoughts or ideas.
