Does the roof lining go straight into a prefacelift that wasn't lined.

hi there, did you go ahead with this project? I’m thinking of retro fitting a liner to a prefacelift.
I installed a used one I got off of the group. Its a little fiddly but not bad. The only real hard part was the pop rivets on the rear bar. With the roll hoops and seats in the way its an act to just reach back there. My temporary screws are still in place and I have not riveted yet. You cant see them when the top is up or down so I may get to them someday.
