A stunning day in the Lake's today, touching 27°C and not a cloud in sight. Roof down and off :D

Spotted this E85 at Bigrig Texaco petrol station, sounded ace when it pulled away (roof broken though ;))

West Coast road to South Lake's then skirted Coniston, swung over to Torver and through Ulpha and over Birker Fell. Eskdale next then Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass, through Ambleside and up the Struggle and down the Kirkstone Pass. Cut off just before Pooley Bridge then down the A66/A595 to home. 145 miles of pure bliss in the bag :D

No surprise there mate. Shirl was getting stuff ready for Thoresby tomorrow when she realised she left half of our supply of sun spray in Abbie's bag when we had the boys on Tuesday.

I'm with you Steve, and Shirl wanted to do some gardening in this heat. We did a little then hibernated till it cooled enough to wash Benny. Gonna be very warm tomorrow, might try to cadge a bit of shade under a certain Gazebo . . . . ;)

Nice report Andy, I've been working at home the past me two days but I've promised Jill we'll take Willy out tomorrow and I'm thinking about Dartmoor or may be Slapton Sands. Might even do both, so lets wait and see
