Rescued War Time American Flag

So a few weeks ago I rescued a flag from being thrown in the local tip. The guy was clearing out a relative's house so I'm guessing he might of had a military background.

This flag turns out to be a 48 star (current flag has 50 stars) so the age is 1912-58. Guessing by the wooden post its been attached to I would guess its from a ship.

I've stuck it up for sale to generate some Zedshed funds.

Going for about $50 on eBay mate, maybe some provenance to it?

You could try flogging it to one those diners along the A1(M) which has more diners than any other road I’ve been on in the UK!
