Kids borrowed the sensible car (Hyundai i30 wagon) for a new years campout. They managed to turn on the 20L water container tap when packing it into the car. A while later the driver had wet feet and pulled over to investigate. They found the source, fixed it and mopped out about 5L of water flowing above the carpets.
I finally got to investigate the wet carpet today and was surprised to mop up another 5L of water from under the carpet. So stripped out the inside of the car, seats, console etc to completely remove the carpets. Thankfully its summer here so they should dry out in a couple of days. Some of the fire wall foam has sucked up some of the water, so a heater is on drying it out.
Up side, I now know how to strip the inside of the car.
Thankfully we have 2 Z3's and a BMW 323 to get us around while the dry out progresses.
