Remap all done very easy and professional had the basic remap which I was advised along with the rev limiter deleted. All going well and no problems car now revs quicker with smoother throttle response and the engine noise at 6k plus is sweet

apparently now that its deleted it makes a "bang noise" when it cuts in...nice man
Just hope that "bang noise" doesn't lead to a blown engine.

He was a really nice man Mr P He said " if we get the Bang Noise " we can bring it back and he will fix it
As a footnote would like to add a bang noise really isn't good

I have had our 3.0 remapped and apart from throttle response you can not tell the difference. Yep bang noises are not good. Hope its all sorted for you.

the custom remap i had made a world of difference ..i had it done at the end of my current modifications and it opened up the torque range of the car .. it just made so much difference. I had the rev limit raised to 7k .. i didnt think it would really matter but its so much better ... its mapped to only run on 99 octane fuel now .. shell nitro + or tesco momentum ... my opinion is that most places that claim to do remaps are only changing your map for a generic one and in my opinion thats a waste of time... i had a custom map done on mine that is tailored to my specific mods on my car .. i watched the mapper go into the hex values and change the values to what he thought .. then plugged the dme/ecu back in .. we went and tested it , came back .. unplugged the dme/ecu and then tweaked until it was spot on.

We had ours remapped and another 5 or 6 others on the forum at the same time, dont believe any of us has had any problems, i would be taking it back and telling them to get it sorted. jmo

Sorry but I have never heard of this happening after a "good" remap, IMHO I would get the car back to the guy asap and try not to do any more miles if possible. I would be looking at getting it trailered to him at his expense.

Please guys don't panic bruce&kim, if the guy is reputable he will do as he has said and rectify any issues. Nothing in life is ever 100%, and occasionally they go wrong, and it does not mean a cataclysmic event so we should all calm down a bit.

Not trying to panic just offer sound advice, After reading the guys web site I would be back there asap as "we offer a seven day money back guarantee"
and bruce&kim are over that.

Sending a car by trailer and expecting to do so, at someone's expense is not sound advice and a tad over the top. Giving the guy a call and asking him to bring his laptop to your house and restoring the ECU is better advice. But just making contact is the first step, and agreeing a mutual beneficial outcome in a calm manner is the best solution.

It's not the Wild West you know.
