A friend of mine recently bought herself a Fiesta ST because she wanted something a bit quicker so I obviously had to take the zed to see it and go for a drive round the east yorkshire countryside. Unfortunately, on the roads the 1.9 L Z3 was no match for the ST's more modern and turbocharged 1.6 L engine power or acceleration-wise. However, when we stopped for a quick photoshoot I think you'll agree the red zed steals the show :) The bridge makes for quite a nice background too!

Nice photo  old school can never live with modern day technology no matter how fast you think your car is or you drive it. :p. Each new model that comes out is just more capable in every way.
For me .20 year old classic is not about performance it's enjoying it. You can still have a big smile at much lower speeds.:) older cars need more driver inter action.
If I want a real blast I jump into something more modern. :rally:
Nice to see you out enjoying your Zed.

Completely agree with you Tracy! I would rather be going slightly slower with the roof down and feeling connected to the drive than flying along in a modern car being driven by electrics

Great pic and 2 great motors. Little if anything in its class will outgun the ST round the twisty stuff and B roads. Can't get its roof down though and when all said and done it's a small family car, great as it is. Yours is greaterer though

Now - we need a photo of just your car there with the bridge behind it! Would be a great candidate for the calendar. :snaphappy:
