Thought I would give the poorboys quick detailer a try

The zed was given one coat of poor boys black hole first, then light mist of the quick detailer

Very easy to use and about an hour total time for both products

looks like a great product, what are your thoughts on it?
Very easy to use and the end result is pleasing taking it's 15 year old paint, the beauty of poorboys gear is it can be used in direct sun which makes it even quicker to use....again no streaks

I did notice that the finish looked even deeper where I had slightly overlapped the quick detailer on the boot lid so I think it could be improved with a second coat

To be honest I picked 3 different bottles of poorboys products up of eBay,all used once so a good buy at £12.00 the lot

I have tried their natty wax in the past, that's good also, hence I thought I would try their other polishes

On their web site it states first apply the black hole, then the blue natty wax to seal it in,then the quick detailer to really make it pop...I'm saving that process for the spring when I will detail him fully for the summer

and re the black hole product, does it mask any imperfections like swirl or white pits?
Hi yes it does hide light imperfections,my zed is untouched and does have quite a few marks picked up over the last 15 years

The second owner had him for 11 years and it was a daily driver, spending most of its life at the local train station while he commuted into London, hence it's picked up a few car park dings, light scratches etc,....all hidden well

My thoughts are to keep him as original bodywork wise as I can,and when It polishes up like it does it's all good in my books

Hi mini

Callipers are good old hammerite smooth in yellow...brush painted....matched the black and yellow theme I thought

.....after the paint dried I picked up some M/// stickers of flea bay that were for Callipers.....thought ....can't see them stopping on long.....heat,water,dust etc two years down the line still all good

Many thanks, wish we had the 2.5l in the uk...yours looks nice and original

I had my first bmw as a company car back in 1998...e36 1.8ise,

It was booked in for its first service and I had a loan car booked for the day via the dealers

I got snarled up in morning traffic and was late getting there, all they had left to lend me was a brand new hell red z3 1.9....service manager said I had the short straw...but did show me how to take the top down

A nice sunny day.....full tank of petrol....what's a boy to do? .....do I work? or play?

You guessed it I played all day and swore one day I would have one...loved every second of that day and never forgot it,my first ever drive in a soft top roadster

It took me 15 years to get one as a weekend toy,it was love at first sight with zebedee, had to have him on my drive

Ahh memories eh

My heart sank when he said I had the short straw......at the time bmw owned rover and I know that bridegate in derbys body shop had a couple of little rovers in their loan fleet......so I thought it was a rover......then he took me out to the forecourt and there sat this lil red zed :rally:..

I too have never lucked out on a loan car. I've always had either big Mercs or BM's as my main car and when they've went for a service I've always ended up with an A Class or a 1 Series. I really should get them serviced elsewhere :0
