Some advice please fellow Zedders. My baby will be back post a respray late next week. I'm keep to get my Auto Glym on her but I understand that Wax should not be applied for circa 90 days to allow the paint time to cure. Not sure about my Auto Glym Super Resin Polish and Extra Gloss Protection though? What sort of time span before I can apply at least the SRP, or is it just wash and shammy in the shade for 90 days?

Many thanks

Andy

I was always told to never wash a newly painted car until it had been rained on. Why?, I don't know but I always followed the advice. As for how long to hold of polishing, where I used to work the body shop used to mop cars straight out of the oven. We need a real paint guru to tell us I guess

Tony.

How about asking the advice from the bodyshop where she's being resprayed. If anybody should know, they should:happy:

I wouldn't use any of it for 90 days.

Especially srp as it's used for masking swirls and your brand new paint shouldn't have any.

Wait the 3 months and then resume your normal products.

Oh and once you run out of the Autoglym stuff go get yourself some Poorboys BlackHole and Natty Blue Wax. Much better than the AG and amazing on dark cars.

It's not good stuff srp.

Too dusty because of all the fillers in the product.

It's better to use a pre wax cleaner that has no fillers in it.
