For those who haven't heard the story....I bought the plates for my dad to put on the 118i convertible he bought after my mum died. It was his pride and joy. No prizes for guessing that his name was Alf. The neat part is that my mum was Enid. I will never ever sell the plate.

That's a really nice story Gail. Good for you. It makes me think we could do that too as we have Shirl's dad's old plate REG 801X on retention, would be a cool way to remember him. I could always pretend I'm Reg.
