Picked up some seats

Hi all

I seem to be learning all the time. My existing seats, albeit not in good cond' leather wise have forward and back and up and down . Electric.

I managed to source a better quality pair of seats . No base to them. Just one back wire with yellow fixing on the end. Have I made a mistake ? Are the new seats not electrically operated. The person I got them from didn't seem to know ......

Can you not take the seats off their bases and swap them

Yes that's the plan.

Changing the connectors is just a leap of faith, a bit scary cutting the wires but did the same when I fitted my z3m seats. The chunky wires are the motor.

So without sounding stupid, do I require some new connectors

Some people do just buy generic connectors cut the loom and cut the seat and start a fresh.
I bought the connectors that matched the seats I was putting in from a breakers as I wanted as OEM as possible. I spent ages trying to find part numbers to buy them new from bmw but they tend to list them as connectors without being specific

So how do I go about finding what's the correct connector?
