Been playing with Macro Photography.

Anyone else use a mono-pod, It's obviously just one leg out my three legged thing, So its a one legged thing..
The concept was new to me , but it works and works really well for ease of movement and framing, when you have nothing to lean against with a long lens..

I have been using one for the last 10 years or so and a great bit of kit, lightweight enough to carry most of the time.
Never used one but often improvised by using a brush shaft or similar with good results.
I had heard of them but in all my ears of photography had never thought much of it. Until I noticed the three legged thing does break down into three mono,s if need be, yeah I finally read the instructions
. This is way better than a tripod for speed and handling, I'm sold..I even tried just extending two sections and tucking the foot into my belt, with good results. Although the resulting stance may make it look like you look like you love your photography gear a little too much

OK, you may have to trust me on this, but, this is the latest batch of Starlink satellites just lifted off from Cape Canaveral. Viewed from our pool deck in Kissimmee. We got Izzy out of bed so she could see it for herself.

Oh crap, more little streaks of light drifting through my astro-pics...
Like this...the star at eleven from the cross caused by the satellites, is called Monare, after my wife. A star name bought by the kids for her 70th..All legit, because it was done on the internet...
. But I got asked to image it anyway, on its RA & Dec co-ordinates. this is one 30 second exposure, tracked with an equatorial mount, with the Z6 and a 250mm prime.. What is really funny, he co-ords given on the certificate, are metricated, ie: a degree is broken up into 100ths, as opposed to 60ths as in seconds of arc. so it was not easy to identify, but its the only one of its spectral class within several degrees, so it must be it.. But credit where credit is due, at least it's in the right hemisphere...,The complete stack of 60x60 can be seen here, whereby that one frame is cancelled out...

I wanted to capture Saturn and Mars a few minutes apart this morning to share with you all, but alas it was overcast.. they will still be very close tomorrow just before sun up, two bright objects on the ecliptic, where stars are not, easy to spot, but Venus also rising about half an hour behind .Tomorrows forecast is no better, someone else want a go ?...The E denotes the horizon East, an hour before sun up..
