Definitely one of the rare colours .
You will really struggle to find any information about how many there are in your colour.
We have 2 rare colour zeds and can't really find out anything about how many of each were made

Agree Steve. We have the rare Aegean Blue and I've never been able to find out how many were built. Just know It's the only one on the forums I go on.

Ah, Palmetto... the best colour, obviously.;)

I did a load of research on them but couldn't get any official figures that I wasn't able to disprove myself.
Mines a '98 2.8 (proper pre-facelift widebody) and according to the info I got from BMW, there were only 2 officially ordered and the other was never registered.

However, I found 4 others, although all the cars I found are tagged with an import marker with DVLA, although it was originally supplied as a UK model, by an official UK dealer as new with 0 miles. Seems a bit odd.

With the 1.9, there were quite a lot more. I was told 24, but to be honest, I'm not sure if either of those figures are right at all.

There's also at least 1 Z3 M Roadster in Palmetto!

Either way, it's awesome, and of course, it's the colour the Z3 was meant to be.... (see the '97-> early'99 brochure, as it's a Palmetto that graces the centerfold).
