Finally got around to polishing up one of my headlights. Had some cutting compound lying around so pretty pleased after about 15 minutes not looking too shabby. Will go over it again before attacking the other.
Also began prepping under the bonnet and tidying up the front valance.
Trying to do everything on the cheap as lazily had a local a garage change my clutch and release bearing at a cost of £380!!!
I assumed it would be a dual mass flywheel but garage said it was single. Are they all dual from the factory?

I thought they were DMF Chris, but, like the new Trannies, someone soon brought a solid flywheel conversion for them so maybe there was one for the Z3?

I cannot throw any light on this as we never had a problem with the clutch on this car. Maybe a previous owner had a single mass conversion fitted but I find that unlikely as it had not covered mega mileage. The release bearing was a little noisy but nothing troublesome. Sounds like a pretty fair price for a new fitted clutch but unless it’s done a lot of miles since we sold it I would have expected it to last a few more years.

That's fine just curious to know when a single flywheel had been fitted as I had just assumed it still had the original dual mass flywheel.
The release bearing at 82k was fairly intrusive and felt it had become noiser since I started using it. So as a precaution had it replaced.
