Bet your glad you don't have to make a speech as the Grooms dad! Best wishes to them both for a long happy future :)
Thanks very much Gaz, you're absolutely right, but I did enjoy watching Sarah's dad squirm! Been there, done that.:)

Mike and Sandy, thank you, very proud of our little boy. Well it seems like yesterday that he was our little boy. Only he is 28 next month. Scary ..... or what? And he towers over his parents too, where do these kids get that from?

Our daughter is 27 this year and living with her fiancé. They were also planning to get married this year, but have had to postpone it, because she has been very ill from last July with Autoimmune Haemolytic Anaemia. Addenbrookes put her on 160mg of steroids each day, she had 8 blood transfusions, 7 plasma exchanges and Rituximab (a chemo treatment used for Leukemia) At one stage we nearly lost her, finally having to have her spleen removed to prevent the blood cells destroying each other, but she finally started back to work 2 days a week in March and was just feeling that she could cope with full time again, when she had a kidney stone that went seriously wrong. Poor kid has been through the mill, she is still experiencing terrible joint pains and headaches every day, that Addenbrookes can't fathom.
You just don't stop worrying about them, do you, even though they have flown the nest.

Really sorry to hear that M&S, as you know we've been through similar. No, you never stop worrying. We hope for better times especially for your daughter but for you all too.

Hi Mike and Sandy, having gone through a couple of years of shear hell I sympathize with you and your daughter. It's especially frustrating when they can't get a grasp on what or why things are happening. Remember you have this very large extended family to help you all cope with whatever comes along. All the best! JIM

Tony & Jim, thank you for those kind words, it is good to know that there are people who care. You are right too, Jim, we do feel that being part of the forum is like one big happy family and like most families, with an occasional bickering episode, but on here there is someone to pick you up when you are down.
The EAC have been fantastic, always ready to listen and give support when needed! They are really special, best thing we did getting everyone together for that first EAC Norfolk cruise!
