where are you Nick?
Same thought went through my mind last weekend Mark when I flicked through the pictures on this years calendar.

I'm about!

I still have a look every now and then!

Very busy looking after my dear old Mum at the moment. It takes up several evenings a week, but I've got a night off tonight!

Not doing a lot of car things at the moment. I've put the Z8 up for sale through Joe Macari as the prices are so high I'm just not using it. When you reach the point where you're questioning putting miles on them it's time to buy something you'll actually use. I'll decide what when or if it's sold.

The Z4M is sat in the garage as well unused, but not for the same reasons. I will use it when I get time. It just doesn't seem to be available at the moment though. The normal holiday to France will be a week this year instead of three and we're flying instead of driving. I doubt I'll be taking pictures of the hire car!!

Ho hum! The joys of middle age! You only get one Mum though.

:)

Hi Nick, sorry to hear that your mum is needing care, but as you've said you only get the one, give her your best and take care of yourself too.

Best wishes,

Tony.

Mums fine, but she has Alzheimers and so we're putting in the time with her while she's still ok.

If anyone has had the misfortune to have a parent or a friend that has had it they'll know that people can deteriorate quite quickly. I like everyone read all that the internet can provide and I'm just trying to spend a little time before she becomes lost to us.

No worries and no hardship. Just grasping the moment.

Shirl's dad had Alzheimers Nick, so I can understand exactly what you are and sadly will go through. Reg didn't have to suffer that cruel disease for as long as some do. Thank the lord for small mercies.

Tony.

It's cruel at that age. Mums 88 and so thats acceptable, but prior to 60 is awful.

Lets change the subject shall we! It's not a great one!!!!

I like the Carrera Gt, Love the Daytona. If it were a Spyder I'd be tempted, but I don't really do Coupes. And if I bought a Spyder.... I'd not use it as well.

So what would you buy to actually use? A convertible, up to £75K max as above that the become a total garage queen. Must be a reliable continental tourer.

It's last outing was Cadwell. It coped incredibly well and was only brought down to earth by the guy behind the wheel.

By the end of the day it was leaving many that were kicking sand in it's face in the morning with a little grit on their own!

It's used, but not enough. I'd like to be doing 3 or 4 track days and 4,000 miles plus. I doubt either will happen. But it's available when the sun shines.

:)

That's the best part of having a car which you can use as and when the mood takes if the opportunity arises. Sad to see you're letting the Z8 go but I appreciate your reasons. I still have the recording of your ride out with Frankie in my You Tube favourites and it will stay there.

Tony.

Cadwell is my favourite track to date Nick, my little Z3 holds its own around that track and surprises a few people, but with a Z4M.............
