New steering wheel

After much waiting, I’ve finally installed the extra steering wheel from my first bmw (a 128i) into the shoe.

Haven’t hooked up the airbag or horn yet (don’t know if I’ll bother with the former), but I’m going to try to fit a e92 clock spring to it as I picked one up that has the wiring for heat if I ever find a wheel.

also not sure about the carbon wrap… it’s on there because the trim was for multifunction and I filled in the holes.

Update:

was able to get the clock spring installed!

turned out to be a lot easier to modify the wheel for the old clock spring rather than trying to use the new one. Horn, airbag (maybe), and turn signal shut off is all working!
