I had a mini clubman estate on a 79 T plate. Be worth a bloody bomb now. :arghh:

I had all my driving lessons in a Mk2 Ford Escort but it broke down the day before my driving test. Back then, my driving instructor only had one car so he had to borrow a car for me to take my test.
He turned up with a Mini 1000. I had an hour lesson before my test in it but as it turned out it was just enough because I passed.
Can't recall driving one since.

Certainly a market for refreshed/restored minis.

And if they can produce one that doesn't rust they'll have a market place.

Not sure on the price though.

I love minis but they give me a bad back.

Everyone should own and drive a mini at some point. Much more fun than today's anodyne small cars. Brilliant fun and easy to work on as long as you don't mind grazed knuckles.

Will do @ Shelly! Now my brother has moved back to Manitoba permanently and is only about 20 min from where I live and we always worked on cars as far back as I can remember together. So happy days!! JIM
