I think these were bought at a dealer locally hence they old stock - I can't see the online places holding stock for too long, warehouse logistics costs are high relative to a tyre value so they will discount them out rather than pay logistics (I know mytyres don't even have all the tyres in stock as I have to wait a while for some until they got stock).

Just scanned the uk and Euro regs on tyres and cannot see anything relating to the age of the tyre when first sold. Might be buried elsewhere though as that was the point of sale info regs.

Assumed that they're sufficiently fast moving that it's not a problem.
For anyone looking there's a four digit code. The first two are the week and the second two the year. What do you have on your tyres and how close is that to the date you bought them?
