Well, it's been just over a year since I picked up my z3 2.2i sport in Estoril Blue. Hence she became known as ebbee. What a year it's been.

This forum has been a great place to make friends and have a laugh, be it a local meet for a coffee or a longer run up to the Midlands. I also started to just ask who's up for a drive and a coffee... That turned into the first New Forest run in my formed z3 'FLN'. That seemed to lead on to organising a few more.

The list has grown as its been Two New Forest runs. A great Southdowns run too. Next year will feature the now requested New Forest in early spring and The Southdowns run in the Autumn. To fill the gaps I am sorting a Euro 2016 for all who are interested. The idea is a long Saturday to Tuesday weekend meeting up with the Dutch Zedders and having a great drive on the Sunday. The Monday will be a relaxing drive and the Menin Gate for the last post in Ypres. Followed by an evening meal and relaxing drive on the Tuesday back to the tunnel.

I may also try to organise a few more things... Glutton for punishment springs to mind.

So the first year with Ebbee has been great.. Roll on the next and as you can see.. Things are going to get better. Well I have to try.

Thank you for all supporting my runs out too.

I know how things kind of snowball Paul, the White Swan meet for a natter and a drink turned into a great afternoon, which most have said they would like to repeat this coming year. This is going to be early to mid September again. We hope to get out to a few meets as well, maybe down to the New Forest if it doesn't clash with our hols to Fla. with kids and grandkids. Good luck with the Euro run Paul you deserve a lot of credit for taking on the organisation of that one mate.

Tony.

@t-tony I do wonder if the hassle is worth it dealing with some companies. They just do not want to help,, but once in a while, you get a cracker and it all falls into place. Like the great contacts we have now at BMW. @GazHyde will agree I am sure, they could not have helped us any more.

You can always find a diamond Paul when you're mining coal. I think you guys struck lucky and talked to someone with similar views to yourselves and it fell into place. Well done and keep on doing it.

Good stuff Paul, it was good to finally meet you this year at the Watermill. Michelle and I hope to get to a few of your meets next year.

I'm pleased you had a happy ending after the issue with your first zed.

Don't be shy, I don't bite, let's have a phone chat, I normally chat to quite a few people on here.

Michelle and I have made some great friends since getting the zed, 5 years ago this month.

Paul, I couldn't agree more. We bought the Zed for myself and Jue to have a new pastime along side Jues horses. Little did I know how much enjoyment it would bring. It has given myself and Jue a whole new bunch of friends and some I see as close pals now. The car in its self is fantastic. I love it! But the meets, cruises and days out with like minded people really does it for me. The Euro trip next year is going to be great, I can't wait!
Cheers everyone.

Nicely put Paul... Highs and lows, but always back to the highs when that roof comes down on a meetup!

Glad to have you in the community organising meets and enjoying yourself

Very similar story to yours Grumps, it's amazing how big a part of our social life the Zed has become. As you say Dave meeting like minded folk is great.

As some may know we attend lots of meets and cruises around the country and have made some really good friends as a result.
Thanks All
