I think he's a good choice, hopefully will make the GT redundant and present the show himself. Came accross, to me, as a nice guy when he was on before.

This sounds like a step in the right direction, Cant say I'm a big fan of Chris Evans but I do know he has a Ferrari and does a lot for charity but that doesn't make a good car show presenter. I had also hoped they would do away with the stig and get an ex formula one driver to do that bit, he would have to be someone who was funny and at the same time more believable.

well, MLB does hold the "Star in a reasonably priced car" lap record, so, I assume he's not a bad driver.

I'd given up on Top Gear years ago, but will give it a go again when it comes back.

I'm not being sexist but usually on a program like this it's mostly the woman being clever ,not really up to the job and allowed to get away with stuff because she's female .Sabine Schmits could of held her own in the driving but I'm not so sure how her German humour would go down on British TV .but maybe the format will change ?
