I did a six speed swap in my car last year and when cold had shift issues with 2nd and sometimes 4th.
If you soft shifted when cold it would kick out of gear. If you shifted hard it would stay in. Could never figure it out. Annoying more then anything but cause alot of stress.
Couldn't see with the drive shaft in but finally noticed that that shift arm was just touching the back of the gearbox. Second would push the back of the lever to the left casing the shaft arm to hit the casting for the linkage rails.
30 seconds with a grinder and everything works like a dream.
