Will be closed down and all equipment shipped to China in about a year and then all set up and built in China. Sound familiar ??

It will start with a joint enterprise... then more will be moved... then it will be.. its cheaper to manufacture over in China.. then the Lotus factory will become a parts base before being sold off. You can see it coming yet people still walk into it.. about time we woke up and stopped it..

Same thing happened locally to a part of the old Marshall's building in Gainsborough, Tom Walkinshaw Racing took some of it over when he was involved with Jaguar. It didn't last very long and the same thing happened.

Its been going on for years with Lotus.

Lotus Engineering, which has facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, China, and Malaysia.

Lotus was previously owned by DRB-HICOM through its subsidiary Proton, which acquired it following the bankruptcy of former owner Romano Artioli in 1996.

On 24 May 2017, Geely announced that it will take a 51% controlling stake in Lotus. The remaining 49% will be acquired by Etika Automotive.
