I went to go to work this morning and I couldn't find my Z key :p
So I had to use the main key ;)
When I got home I hunted high and low for it :(
But still no joy :(
My mind was going over and over what could I have done with it :)
Our bin goes out for collection tomorrow so Alan said are you sure you didn't put something in the bin when you come home, I said I don't think so ........
I said I'm not looking any more as I've looked and looked so I'll look again tomorrow ;)
Then I thought I'll just have a look in yesterday rubbish :(
And have a guess what I see my lovely Z key :):)
Good job the bin men didn't take it :)

Surprising how easy it is to lose a key.

I have specific hooks in my house for each cars key and duplicates stashed elsewhere. Hard-won experience, not OCD I hasten to add.:)

I normally come in and put my keys on the side :p
Don't know how they ended up in the bin :)
I'm just glad I looked before the binmen took them :):)

Since you wouldn't obviously throw your key away, there must have been something that you threw away that your key decided to wrap itself in and hide so you could throw it away too, and it did it just to see if you could take a joke. They have such devious little minds and do things like jumping out of our pockets when we ger into someone elses car. Mine try to stay hidden in my back pocket until I get into my truck and put on the seat belt and then they let me know they're there by poking me in the a***. I can hear them laughing back there as I have to unbuckle the seat belt and get back out of the truck to retrieve them. It's just a game they play to make our day perfect....................Frankie

We hang all the keys on hooks so we know where they are. Lots of bunches of keys with way too many to carry them all round together. Underneath we use a shelf as a staging post for recycling etc before it gets gathered up to be put in the bin outside, especially if it's raining . Occasionally a bunch of keys drops off unnoticed. It's only a matter of time before a set disappears - had a few moments when some have gone astray but thankfully none have ever been thrown out.

Pleased you got yours back.

We never leave the keys anywhere in sight. We had a burglary a few years back. They used my gym back (emptied it first) to collect up all the valuables and then used my wife's car (using her keys left in the house) to take the stuff away!

It cost £120 to get the car back out the the pound after it was finger-printed.

Never saw the stolen goods again.

Anyway careful with keys. Lots of burglars break in the steal the cars as they so hard to get started without these days.
