Long time BMW owner/BMWCCA member, picking up a '97 2.8 Z3 this week

Afternoon, I have had BMWs going back to the late 70's when I got a '72 2002. Next was a pristine '72 Tii followed by a not so pristine '73 Tii and then a string of e30's. My last BMW was a 2006 X5. I am about to rejoin the club and looking for power adders found this site with the 95 back intake mod.

Thank you all very much, I get the car Friday & will be traveling (picking it up on the way to L.A. from Phoenix) so there will be time before I can really get into it (Sunday afternoon when I get home)

I have already bought an M50 intake and the kit to install it, a new air filter and a few other odds & ends.

Here is my last project that will tow the Z3 home from L.A.

Picked up the car about 1:30, had an 80 mile drive. that took almost 3 hours thanks to a bad crash & typical L.A. traffic. Car was a champ, runs great & no issues until when we got to the hotel with it's 5'10" underground parking that my 6'3" Sequoia driven by my wife got stuck in. When I tried to back out I ripped a sprinkler head out. Big fun.

Glad you got the car. Bad news about the truck and the sprinkler though. How far from home?

The truck is fine, little scratch in the roof rack and some silicone that will come off.

Hotel ate the sprinkler.

Ate dinner overlooking the marina @ Killer Shrimp. It was good but not killer. lol

First time I have been behind my truck when it was moving.

Just got home. The truck ran great, pulled the trailer &car without any trouble.

A few from the road.

Averaged 9mpg, had a few instances where I was going flow of traffic & leaving a reasonable amount of space between me & the car I was behind where a jerk wanted to pass, I was able to say nope & close the gap. The truck really is amazing!

After it got dark, I turned on the BMWs markers, learned I need a license plate bulb.

How much does it cost to hire a trailer from U-haul if you don’t mind me asking please?

Including 90.00 insurance that covered any eventuality, it was 298 for 3 days, I'm getting this thing off my truck ASAP! (today)
