The red mushroom is called Amanita Muscaria most are poisonous very occasionally they are edible , but how they tell the difference I don't know .
The tree has fungus on it but the colour was really bright , it was lovely to see , as you don't often get a chance to see it in real life , ;)

Shelly correctly identifies the red mushroom as "Amanita Muscaria" and they are all poisonous. They are also known as Fly Agaric and belong to the Amanita family. This family of mushrooms includes the infamous Death Cap (A.phalloides) for which there is not an effective antidote and causes several death each year in Europe where mushroom foraging is more popular than in the UK. A. Muscaria is considered poisonous due to the strong hallucinogenic and intoxicating properties and some deaths have been reported.

If you are interested in collecting wild mushrooms look for local expert lead forages, which are frequently held in the Autumn and learn how to identify those which will kill you (I jest not), those which will make you ill and those which are safe for most people to eat. Meat draw at the Legion, drop in I'll save you a seat. But, I think Boysie should have first crack at you. Seems pretty interested in some fun.
