Light Switch

Hi though the instrument illumination wasnt working but turns out it the light switch , when it rotated to set the light level it does work in a couple of places bit feels rough like on sand paper , any quick fixes ? other than a new switch assume there easy to replace but not many around on ebay ? cheers

The best solution is to decide on an illumination level and solder everything in place to make it non-adjustable.

Not sure if "Tuner cleaner / electrical contact cleaner" can work on these devices to clean the connection, normally electrical resistance pots in the old days could be cleaned with this. Sometimes it comes back quickly and sometimes it takes a while.
You can also twist it back and forth to see if it gets better, I normally do that out of habit when I turn the lights on every now and again.
