I have been given two Cree LED headlight bulbs by a mate who got them for his 5 series, fitted them but said they were worse than his standard halogens. I was going to try them in my Zed but the lights are very good already and the hassle of changing them if they don't improve anything has put me off, so I though I'd ask the question.

Has anyone tried these in their Zed?
If so did they improve the headlights?

Cheers

I remember talking to @t-tony about these the problem is they do not produce a pattern like a halogen bulb so the light is rather sparadic.

Just been reading and article is Car Mechanics about HD and LED bulbs and should not be fitted into existing headlight units as they are designed for the reflectors and lenses for Halogen bulbs. They will not be E marked and therefore are illegal
It goes on to say that The only LED fitted as after market are interior ones

Our 1 series has LED headlights and the units are different to Xenon unit.

I think only certain types are any good as they utilise the factory reflector. Most cheap ones are awful
