Hi guys,
I currently have a bit of a stash of various K&N Apollo induction kits (all brand new) and running short of space to store them.
This is what I've been using on my '98 Z3 M52B28 with great success. It flows plenty of cold air ducted from under the passenger side headlight, and is a fully closed system, so no chance of any heat soak issues and as much power as you will make from an induction system.
Makes a nice induction noise, non-invasive and not particularly loud, but very sporty from both inside and outside the cabin.
To fit on a M52 you just need a specific hose shortened to size, a few clips, a support bracket and a vent plug and it's a straight forward swap for the standard airbox. Takes under 5 mins to fit.
Should be easily adapted to the other Z3 engines too, although the normally aspirated air flow rate probably isn't high enough to get the best performance out of an S50/S54.
An S54 would also require a standalone MAF holder!
Anyway, if anyone would be interested, I can direct you to the exact parts I used to fit to an M52, or alternatively I'd be happy to assemble a kit (at cost) in advance.
I currently have some of them listed on ebay under their official part numbers, and for just under the next cheapest available at £289 (with Best Offer), but happy to sell on here for £150 delivered within UK.
Anyway, shout if interested or if you want any further details.
