I was looking on the internet and found this company that manufactures rear zipper windows for the Z............

http://www.emiata.com/Z3Window.asp

They include instructions. I'll hope to install it myself but am afraid I might end up doing the same thing as BMG and throwing it away after half a day of trying to get it in. I didn't go with the new top. When I went back to the web site to order, they increased the price and at the same time, I found this cheaper price for the window. The German company wanted:
US $118.85
Buy It Now
+ US $44.57
shippin
so I went with the cheaper one. I'll let you know about its quality when I get it, and its durability as time goes by. Frankie

Mine was launched across the driveway. It's ok though and still upstairs in my spare room!

Frankie, I did a lot of research on windows and the German one is the only one that doesn't use contact cement but rather a dual sided tape. Contact is MESSY on it's best day and gets everywhere if you don't use every precaution. Which is the reason I bought the German window.
While shopping for tops did you find any that had zip in windows? Everyone I can find is sewn in permanently. I need a new top as the stitching around my window rotted away so would need to remove the present top to get the zip sewn in. Might as well get a new top then.
