Hi Zedders,

Winter is coming and I am now spending more time at Silverstone and need to cut the fuel costs.

So I have been saving my tips from the second job waitressing to buy a mini.

Here is Nancy (named by previous owner) a 2002 yellow Mini Cooper with nearly 88,000 miles on the clock.

The body work isnt great and a few things need fixing but I won't be throwing to much money in to it.

List of things to try and fix or replace or just not bother

  • Rear wiper doesn't work
  • Passenger side window doesn't work
  • Panaramic sunroof disconnected May need a new motor or just leave it shut
  • Dry out passenger side front and rear footwells
  • Check all drainage holes to see if previous leak was actually fixed
  • Interior seats so worn but have a full set of half leather seats in great condition going in for £50
  • Handbrake handle replace
  • Gear knob replace
  • Plastic trim top of the door put back
  • Windscreen wiper plastic cover needs pushing back in
  • Front bumper aligned
  • May attempt to get some scratches out
Well for £775 as long as It keeps me going for at least a year happy days
I say a year because I didn't think I would enjoy it so much and now I want an upgrade for a proper decent one but then that defeats the whole point of getting a daily shed that your not worried about getting an extra dent or another scratch

Plastic trim I found in the car it looks in tact

Liquid yellow is it's proper title. Recently sold the mother in-laws Cooper S and it was a fun drive. I take it you haven't sold panther then?

Of course I haven't sold Panther
I am now working in the New Silverstone Experience Mon-Sun every other week and Panther costs to much on fuel

£775 plus insurance, tax and other essential running costs buys a lot of petrol for a Z though!!

I kinda agree but I would rather drive a cheap mini in the winter rather than my Panther
