Getting close to solving the door locking issue so I am now turning my attention to another issue with the doors. This time it is with the interior light.
The interior light has the three switch positions. On all the time, off all the time and on when a door is opened. The light will come on when I switch it to the on all the time position. When the switch is in the middle position (which I presume is the one where the light will come on when a door is opened) nothing happens when the doors are opened.
I didn't get a user manual with the car so need to look up what the different interior light positions actually mean.
I am thinking that the interior light is controlled by the micro switches in the door strikes on the body. If one or both of these were faulty would that cause the light not to come on or would that indicate that the door is open all the time and the light would be on all the time?
Has anyone else had this same issue? (I seem to be getting all the strange ones).
